Trayce Thompson’s walk-off home run last night must have been a relief to the overworked bullpen. The Dodgers took game two of the three-game series against Colorado last night, 4-3.
The Dodgers’ scream teen, Julio Urias (AKA The Clearasil Kid) went four innings and only surrendered one run in his Dodger Stadium debut. Urias also managed to strike out seven and limit his walks to just one.
Cue “Rubber Biscuit” by the Chips for tonight’s rubber match against the Rockies. Mighty Maeda will take the hill tonight. The Dodgers are hoping he can continue to pitch as well as he did in his last two starts. Maeda tossed five scoreless innings before taking that liner off his hand in New York. He pitched just over six innings against Atlanta (1 ER).
Will Maeda ruin rotten Rockie rakers? Will Rusin deal death to diabolical Dodger dandies? Will raging readers remove the Scrabble dictionary from our righteous refuge? Stay tuned! Until next time, mirth seekers!!
